Part of the larger S-cape Travel agency, sloWays is based in Italy and offers self-guided walking holidays on Italy’s caminos and select routes in neighboring countries. Pilgrimage walks are their specialty and they are official partners of the Via Francigena. They also cover Via degli Dei, Via Romea Germanica, St Francis, Way to Matera, Camino di Santiago, Rota Vicentina and Cammino di Oropa. In addition, sloWays offers an easy walking holiday in Croatia and some moderate level routes in Greece.
Review of sloWays website
As expected with any of the S-cape Travel tour operators, sloWays has an excellent site, easy to navigate, exceptionally good at telling their story and what sets them apart, and it includes all the important details. You can browse by camino route (Italy), country, and easily see which routes are dog-friendly. While they don’t give elevation changes in daily routes, they do provide details and links to accommodations which is a rare treat. The FAQ section is good, answering really good questions that many websites often fail to answer. They’ve also developed a navigational app for the entire Via Francigena route, but we should mention that Via Francigena has its own official app for those who want to DIY.
