Created by the founders of Trips to Walkabout, The Bank Street B&B was born from years of designing meaningful travel. We came to believe the same truth every time: the best parts of a journey happen when you slow down long enough to connect.
Our historic home in the heart of Lake Charles is the natural extension of that philosophy. It’s a bed and breakfast in Louisiana designed for guests who want to feel welcomed, known, and at ease.

For quiet thinkers, introverts, and business travelers. Writing desk, comfortable chairs, and a curated collection spanning travel, local history, gothic romance, and more. Plus an ever-expanding collection of jigsaw puzzles.
Dining Room
Our spacious dining room seats 12 and is the perfect space for formal breakfast, tea parties and intimate dinner parties. When combined with our kitchen table (sits 6) and a pop-up round table (sits 4), we can comfortably sit 22 people.
Sunroom
Overlooking the backyard, with lounge seating and a television. Perfect for movie nights or an afternoon of doing absolutely nothing. We have DVDs and you’re always welcome to log in to your preferred streaming.
The Landing
A serene in-between space, stocked with books, comfy chairs and bathed in natural light. Perfect for quiet mornings or bridal preparations, it’s equally loved by readers and photographers alike.
Outdoor Living
