Wild Rover Travel is fairly new to the scene. The Irish-Danish couple who started this are based in Denmark and are one of the few companies that offer self-guided walking holidays in Denmark. They also offer cycling trips and walking holidays throughout Europe. Something we noticed right away was how good their selection was, not just for Denmark but for other countries as well. They only offer a few per country, but each one looks like an “off the beaten path” trip that we’d want to book.

Wild Rover’s site is beautifully designed and easy to navigate. You can browse by categories such as mountains, coastal, world heritage, winter, family, wine and self-drive or you can search by location, duration, difficulty and month. They provide all the important walking details (including daily elevation) and some trips include links to actual lodging.
