We love the categories on Eurohike’s site, allowing you to search for hiking vacations that are dog-friendly, family friendly, luxury (called Charm) or hotel based. You can also search by walking levels or season and browse themes such as wine, water, solo, alpine, pilgrimage and island. You’ll find tours that meet their strict sustainability standards in the “mindful hiking” category. They provide all the important walking details (including elevation) but it’s hit or miss whether or not they provide lodging details. Some of the Charm trips offer exact lodging, some give hotel examples (with links) and others give a basic star rating.
Things to like about Eurohike
- Good selection of easy walks (called moderate) – perfect for those who want the alpine experience but can no longer hike up a mountain. Just know easy doesn’t equal short, you still might walk up to 11 miles one day.
