Ryder Walker is a US based company focusing on self-guided and guided hiking. They offer walking holidays in New Mexico, Colorado and Utah, as well as several European countries. Considering their price point, this is a company targeting luxury travelers who most likely want a trusted US company to plan every detail for them. They are consistently mentioned in almost every major travel and outdoor publication. They’re overpriced in our opinion but they do offer some well-developed itineraries for the US locations (we especially like their Santa Fe to Taos itinerary).
Review of Ryder Walker Website
Ryder Walker’s site has a good clean design that’s easy to navigate. You can browse by type of service (guided/self-guided/private/mini-treks/custom) then narrow down by destination or walking level (easy/moderate/challenging). They have a good icon system showing comfort levels for lodging, effort levels (easy vs strenuous) and terrain. BIG PRAISE from us for that!
