The Wild Source is an American owned company that focuses on guided wildlife tours in Africa, with a few recently added tours in the United States. Founded by a wildlife biologist, this company offers walking safaris, trekking and a wide assortment of tours that all include wildlife experts. What we love most about this company is their commitment to what they call “disruptive empowerment.” The Wild Source actively supports local partners and guides in becoming owners and independent guides. They also hire and train wildlife specialists and biologists. This is true community-focused tourism that goes beyond the “trickle effect” of tourist dollars, offering long-term value to both the people and the lands in which they operate. We’re excited to watch and see what they develop here in America!
Review of The Wild Source Website
The Wild Source boasts a beautifully designed website that fully captures the company’s values and what sets them apart from the crowded African safari market. Part of their mission is to educate and empower, and their site reflects this because it’s FULL of information about each destination. To find walking safaris, use their “Find Your Perfect Itinerary” and select “Active Adventure.” This will show you a sample of what they’re capable of planning. While they do feature small group tours, most trips are customized for each client so it’s always best to contact them directly to see what’s possible.
Special compliments to the Wild Source team for highlighting each guide so thoroughly (even those who have passed away). It speaks highly of what and who you value!
